The competition is designed for students and university staff, R & D institutes and companies involved in the techniques of satellite and information technology in the acquisition, collection, processing and imaging spatial satellite data for resources management of marine water, research and analysis of the seabed, as well as detection and warning of environmental threats.
The main task is to find effective solutions to:
- real-time monitoring of the aquatic environment, in terms of the migration of all kinds of pollution by industrial, agricultural and municipal waste affecting the Baltic Sea
- the identification of the gathered on the seabed toxic waste from chemical munitions and monitoring the release of these chemicals into the aquatic environment of the Baltic Sea
- preparing or the development of an early warning system against environmental threats to marine areas, available to all departments of the Baltic countries, ships and the civilian population located in coastal areas.
Companies, university teams, institutions, organizations or individuals who are preparing or have interesting solution, corresponding to the objectives of the project Baltic Challenge, if they want to present their projects or solutions in the Baltic Summit 2017 are are invited to download, fill and return the form to the specified in the form address e-mail.
